The sensuality and instinct of the early works of Miquel Navarro continue shaping his sculptures which, in many cases, reveal deep, almost primitive, eroticism. The material chosen to convey his thoughts and feelings in the pieces exhibited at Capa is iron using the lost wax technique, with which he achieves a tone similar to earth, to nature, to the origin of all. At times, the artist himself has explained how the material with which he makes the pieces is chosen for its texture or adjusted, depending on his requirements, to give certain stability to a composition. However, iron is not the primary element of his work. With aluminium, steel and zinc, among others, he achieves tough finishes, coldness and aggressive lines that enable him to define the piece and give it an unmistakable and unique identity.  In his most vertical pieces and especially in his cities, designed more like poetry rather than sculpture, he toys with engineering, architecture, disciplines that are consciously very much present in all of his artistic creations.

Tireless, universal and constantly evolving, Miquel Navarro works with pure creative passion and makes sure that he keeps the need to create intact. His inclination towards sculpture began when he was a child in his birth town of Mislata, where he would touch and get a sense of garden produce and products from the local market. His idea of beauty is closely linked to his idea of classic artists, which were the basis and reference point of avant-garde movements of the start of the century.
